Event Details:

An in-person screening and panel discussion about a powerful story about aging and perspective.

Told through a series of stories that discuss the unprecedented rates of growing homelessness involving older adults (55+), No Place To Grow Old is a powerful film that may change your perspective. Following the screening we will unpack the film together through a panel discussion and Q&A. As we all know, nothing is done for us without us. We will have the opportunity to showcase the work being done with people of our community.

The intention of this event is to bring the community and our experiences together. Whether in reflection because of lived and living experience, to a community member concerned about the state of our housing, we can all bring knowledge and understanding to the complex needs of those who are unhoused, and those who support. Housing insecurity affects us all, especially in the current housing crisis in Waterloo Region. It is important to work together to talk about it, plan about actionable items, and push forward conversations about accessibility to housing.
